There was The Canton Opera Company that turned Baroque opera back into the strange experiment that it first was. But the line-up was too big and expensive, leaving a tinge of regret and a taste of unfinished business. So The Cherubs were born - with more than a passing nod to committed socialist music, and creating some raw power trio jazz along the way.
